Handsome Bookends, made from real antique leather books, gilded spines, papers are gilded on top edges, ribbon markers, both books can still be read, if desired. Both books are written in the French language, the left one titled “La Debauche,” by Andre Birabeau, and edited by Ernest Flammarion. Both books were printed in Paris, in 1924. Blown glass, antique crystal compote by Pickard, attributed. Pickard, one of our porcelain-decorating studios, in America, did decorate glass from time-to-time; however, we cannot guarantee this to have been decorated by Pickard as there is no mark.
