Very rare set. John Turner, one of the finest English potters of the time, rivaled only by Wedgwood, was a member of the Staffordshire, England group of potteries from 1762 to 1786, the year of his death. His sons took over the manufacturing at that time, eventually closing the business in 1806.

Parian sculpture of Mozart (1756-1791) in formal dress of the day, intricately ruffled shirt, by R & L, Robinson and Leadbeater, one of the world's most highly regarded 19th century makers of parian porcelain, with studios at Stoke-on-Trent, Great Britain.
