Handpainted stoneware-pottery supper set by Guillot of France, each piece hand-signed on reverse; 12 pieces, total. There is every indication that this set is the work of Alvaro Guillot, deceased, noted 20th Century surrealist French painter, who was known to have worked for a time in ceramics. Soft, pale yellow wide border, against white ground, decorated with the most delicate of pale pink roses and green winding vines and leaves, richly gilded rim, 8.5" (21.59 cm) diameter.
