Exquisite Steuben Cranberry and Crystal Compote, Style Number 6405, signed on base with acid-mat "Steuben" signature. Swirling shadow ribs make up the slightly concave compote bowl, as well as the dome-shaped foot; folded rim on foot, and sharp pontil on the base; twisted crystal stem with disk knop near the top, and at the foot; 7" tall, 6.5" diameter bowl, 4.0" diameter foot. 1960s Tiffin, "Gold Palais Versailles" Crystal, Service for Eight, in Dessert or Salad Plate, Water or Wine Goblet, and Champagne or Sherbet. While a single stem may occasinally be available, this pattern rarely comes on the market as a complete set, especially with the matching plates. Cut cartouches are centered with a gilded, decorative emblem, and rims are also gilded. Stems are masterfully and elegantly cut.
