Important 1969 Design, Cast Aluminum Relief of Nude Woman, mounted on solid Mahogany, by George R. Anthonisen (1936 - ), internationally renowned American Sculptor. This early piece is signed and numbered, "5 / 12," the original of which appeared in a 1971 Exhibition at New York's National Academy of Design. Delightful 17" Bronze Statue of Young Woman carrying Basket. With braced footing, she reaches up to her hair as a stong wind blows her way, catching the basket, her dress, and scarf. We find no signature, nor foundry mark; the felt base cover has not been removed. 5.50" (13.97 cm) diameter base, 17" (43.18 cm) overall height.
