Crystal clear, intricately hand-etched Venetian art glass, Water or Wine Goblets. Attractive, heavily spray-gilded, applied stem; applied foot; polished button-pontil. One side of the goblet depicts a couple in 18th Century costumes, apparently at a masked ball; on the opposite side, is a large, overflowing fountain. Spectacular 1950s Murano bowl by Barovier & Toso, measuring 21.50" (54.61 cm) long, 10" (25.4 cm) wide, 3" (7.62 cm) tall. Over a base layer of lattimo (white), there is an intricate "fishnet" pattern utilizing blue, orange, and cobalt canes, beginning with the pinwheel swirl in the center, and radiating out to the scalloped rim, which appears to simulate ocean waves.
