| Expertly crafted bulbous Zanfirico, wide-mouth Vase, done in intricate, overlapping latticino and zanfirico patterns, in white and blue canes. The pecision of the graduated canes, as well as the matching swans, exhibits the skillful hand of a seasoned master and his helpers. For this reason, we suggest the piece may have been created at the Barovier furances, for Salviati, in the years following the transfer of ownership of the factory from Antonio Salviati to the Baroviers. We must mention, however, that the Venini artisans were expert, also, and well known for the many intricate zanfirico patterns which they created. Whoever the maker, it is superbly executed. This exquisite piece measures 5.75" tall, 6" swan-to-swan, 2.75" foot diameter, and nearly 5" diameter at the widest part. Condition is excellent. c. 1900-1930. $16 US Shipping. | ||||||||||
