| Late 19th Century, Leather Ladies Jewelry Box, impression-gilded "Louise" on lid; gilded keyhole, although there is no key. Lined in plush burgundy velvet with lift-out tray. Richly gilded on interior rim borders, all around sides, and lid; moire satin base. 8" x 6" x 3" (20.32 x 15.24 x 7.62 cm). Condition is quite good with a repairable superficial split to the leather (pictured greatly enlarged), and random, removable use scuffs.
