Glossy black lacquer box over wood, with gilt metal repousse relief chrysanthemum and butterfly over solid geometric background. Interior of box is dotted over all with flecks of silver, turning to metallic gold in the corners. Dimensions are about 5.50" x 4.25" x 3.50" tall. Condition is very good with a few small areas of lacquer loss, most pictured. Unsigned, undated, and estimated to be 1930-1950. $12 US Shipping. |
