| Straight from the attic to our Pre-Retirement Sale, 14" x 11.5" x 1.75"; Metallic Textile, antique, entirely hand-embroidered, within an antique wood tray with original, very attractive solid brass hardware. Little dots within the textile are cross stitches to hold down the metallic threads. Note knotted stitches in the bird's head piece, and in the mons. Original seam down the center. Original brass hardware, original damask backing. Discoloration along the top, indicates some damage, probably from mildew. Have not examined out of frame. Both the textile and the frame are in a little rough condition, but they are certainly worth some minimal conservation efforts. c. 1880-1910. $20 US Shipping. | |||||||||||||
