| Exquisite small bronze-finish, crouching Lion, which displays evidence of having once been gilded, and was probably an ormolu item on a large garniture set. He is of white metal with a bronze finish; the gilt would have covered him completely. He is beautifully and intricately formed, measures 5" (12.70 cm) long, about 2.50" (6.35 cm) wide, and about 2" (5.08 cm) tall. Condition is as described and as seen in the photos, with most of the remaining gilt near and on the base.
