| A scarce and special art glass vase by one of Hadeland Glasverk's most important designers, Gro Bergslien. Sjelden kunstglassvase ved Gro Bergslien for Hadeland Glassworks, Norge. Bergslien was with the company from 1964 through the 1970s. The Norwegian company has been in production since 1762, one of the most respected in Scandinavia. Pieces from this company's top designers, as is Bergslien, can rival the finest of mid-century glass, and often commands prices to match. This coppery orange, very thick and heavy vase, is almost oval in shape, with two sides being somewhat squeezed inward; we have shown all four sides, all with included mosaic bits, in green, white, blue, and rose. Just over 7" (17.78 cm) tall, 4.25" x 3.5" (10.79 x 8.89 cm) at the widest part, and 1.5" opening. Engraved signature on base, "Hadeland, Gro."
