Collection of Rare and wonderful brilliant gold Shelves/Brackets, all with handcarved Rose motif. The largest, single shelf has been overpainted at some point and is much more dull in color and finish than all of the others, all which appear to retain their original bright gold finishes, and all matching in color. The largest also has an area of missing gesso and gold on the top of the center rose carving. This is repairable, and it is possible to remove the exisiting gold and refinish it to match all of the other pieces if desired. All hangers are contemporary replacements; all date to 1920-1940. Details follow: Large, over-painted Rose Shelf, with described missing gesso, measures 11" wide x 4.75" deep x 9.25" tall (27.94 x 12.06 x 23.49 cm); Medium Individual Rose Shelf, is in wonderful condition, with a very small amount of gilding missing at the base of the shelf platform. This shelf is near in size to the Medium Pair of shelves, being just slightly larger, and having a thicker shelf platform. 8" wide x 3.375" deep x 6.50" tall" (20.32 x 8.57 x 16.51 cm); Medium Pair of Rose Shelves, both in excellent condition, 8" wide, 3.375" deep, 5.75" tall (20.32 x 8.57 x 14.60 cm).
