Appearing as if polished Jade, is this Rare late 19th to early 20th Century Italian, opaque pink, Muranese "Opal" glass (opaline), with gold-plated rim and ring-handles; six genuine, semi-precious stones of Jade (or perhaps Chalcedny), Coral-(2), Turquoise, Black Onyx, and Carnelian. Original label on base reads, "Made in Italy." It measures a petite 4.50" (11.43 cm) diameter to outside of handles, 1.75" (4.44 cm) tall. See item no. 807, for a matching, hand-enameled cylinder vase, also in Muranese "Opal" glass. Excellent condition with only some slight loss to the of gold-plating, just below the black onyx. c. 1890-1920. $20 US Shipping.
