Handcrafted decorative Sterling Silver Peacock wearing 18 tail feathers set with fine quality, natural Garnet "Eyes" -- 9 Mozambique Garnets (red), and 9 Tsavorite Garnets (green), each at 2.5mm, prong-set in Sterling Silver. Each component of the several distinct designs within the bird is intricately handmade, hand-coiled, and hand-soldered. Two marks have been found, one on a Sterling Tab on an uppermost verso tail feather reading "925," signifying "Sterling;" the other, an illegible signature just above the left facing leg (no closeup). Tail span is 5.50" (13.97cm), overall height is 4.50" (11.43cm), and depth is about 2" (5.08cm). We suggest origin is India, with a circa date of 1920. Condition is excellent. We have had the peacock fitted for its own quilted, green velvet presentation box. Please email us for photos of the box if desired. $100 Overnight US Shipping. |
