| Original wash Drawing by Louis Bosa (1905-1981 Italy), well listed, signed, "Bosa" lower left. (Luigi) Bosa was born in Cordoipo, a small town near Venice, Italy; emigrated to America in 1920; taught art in 1930s and 40s in New York; listed in over 28 books about "American" artists; represented in many galleries & museums. This work, "Venice" is a study with clergy, superimposed over architectural drawing; ink, sepia and blue wash; 10.25" x 14.25" (26.03 x 36.19 cm) image; 16" x 20" (40.64 x 50.80 cm) frame. Bosa did a number of paintings on canvas of varying scenes of Venice, including a finished piece similar to this one, titled "Priests in Venice," for which this may very well be a study. Non-glare glass in mid-20th Century, period frame. Excellent condition. $30 US Shipping. | ||||||||
